Local Voices for Obama

Veracity Productions produced spots featuring local voices in Ohio for this series of award winning spots airing in swing states leading up to the 2012 and 2008 presidential elections. Aimed at undecided voters, we profiled a local veteran and a small business owner. During the final days leading up to the 2008 election, Veracity spots aired on Fox News, CNN, A&E and NBC network in counties, some of which went blue for the first time in 44 years. Local Voices ads took top honors at Politics Magazine’s Reed Awards and Silver for Best Overall Campaign TV/Radio Democrat in 2009 AAPC Pollies Awards. Produced in association with Local Voices for Obama founder, Lee Hirsch, you can find an interview with director Alicia Dwyer at LAist. To see how our spot “Barclay” and the rest of the Local Voices ads reached 20 million viewers in 2012, visit localvoices.org.
